Prerequisite: Students must be full-time, commissioned peace officers, reserve officers, or act under the umbrella of a public safety agency or office.
Course Description: This 16-hours of advanced training provides new and veteran officers, cutting-edge forensic techniques and time-saving tactics to streamline their field investigations and capture critical evidence before its lost. This course uses six common calls for service as a backdrop, to employ hands-on learning exercises, where students learn everything from diagramming a scene, to bloodstain pattern analysis. Multiple Sensory Stations™ like, Internal and External Crime Scenes, provide a premium learning experience.
Who Should Attend: Patrol, Corrections, Investigators and everyone who has the opportunity to be first to an investigative scene and make the difference between a easy prosecution or a case gone wrong.
Dress Code: Due to the many internal and external exercises where clothing may get soiled or frayed, we recommend old, comfortable, clothing and closed-toed shoes.
Lodging and Meals: Students are responsible for their own hotel and meals.
