Prerequisite: Students must be full-time, commissioned peace officers, reserve, or act under the umbrella of a public service agency.

Course Description:
 This jam-packed, 8-hour course, gives you insight on how to take trivial arrests, and turn them into major investigations.  These simple, but often overlooked tactics taught here, will provide results the next day. You won’t just work up the chain; you will jump the chain and score substantial arrests and seizures of drugs, guns, credit card fraud, stolen vehicle rings and others. If you are trying to build your resume, perfect your investigative skills, or just want to learn more about gathering information and intelligence, then this is YOUR class! Don’t miss it!

Who Should Attend: Patrol Officers, Jail/Prison Officers, Detectives, Agents, Arson Investigators,

Instructors: Your instructor, Nick Ramos, a retired Sergeant and K-9 handler from the New Mexico State Police, brings a wealth of experience gained from over 29 years in law enforcement. As a Officer, he handled hundreds of cases from the small, go-nowhere case, to the large Transnational Criminal Organizational spanning multiple states and lasting years. As a first-line supervisor, he expanded his knowledge by learning to teach his subordinates how to use these same skills. Nick received many awards including New Mexico's 2010 Officer of the Year and was touted as, "a bloodhound for narcotics" by the U.S. Attorney's office in 2011. Nick continues his work as a Deputy Sheriff. He is an energetic presenter and presents for several large organizations including: HIDTA, INIA, BJA, Sheriff's & Chiefs of Police, CNOA, and CNCA. You are sure to have an enjoyable experience with Nick.
