Prerequisite: Students who are full-time, commissioned peace officers, reserve, or act under the umbrella of a law enforcement agency are automatically eligible for attendance. Anyone not within these groups, should contact us at training@trainpsa.org for direct approval.
Course Description: Not all situations allow for immediate searches. Know when exceptions exist, and how to write a bulletproof warrant when they don't. Students are trained on what aspects make a legal
warrant and then challenged to write them. Participants will be introduced to common
warrants such as: Sneak & Peek,
Anticipatory, Arrest and others. Students should bring their laptops to build warrants in a digital format, so they can
retain all warrants developed as their “Go-By’s” for future use. Don’t let this

Who Should Attend: This course is designed for all Public Safety employees who process, develop, or write warrants.
Instructors: Your instructor, Nick Ramos, a retired Sergeant and K9 handler from the New Mexico State Police, brings a wealth of experience gained as a Patrol Officer,Narcotics Agent and Special Operations Sergeant during over 28 years of service where he acquired extensive knowledge of the development and use of warrants in Law enforcement. Nick continues his work as a Deputy for the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office. He is a guest presenter for several large organizations including HIDTA, INIA, BJA, Sheriff's & Chiefs of Police, CNOA, and CNCA. His unique style of presentation is sure to enhance your learning while enjoying the camaraderie.
